What the petition asks

Anyone living with people who are vulnerable to Covid-19 infection should be supported to self-isolate to protect their loved ones. For those who are unable to work from home, the government should provide long-term sick pay and require employers to take them back in the same role.

Protection of the most vulnerable in society (elderly and those with existing conditions) can only be achieved if the households they live in can be kept infection-free. It is important to allow individuals and families to take measures to protect the vulnerable without jeopardising their financial security and longer term job prospects
