What the petition asks
We are asking the government to remove delivery costs of food and essentials from the major supermarkets to the elderly and people at high risk of fatality from coronavirus, until the epidemic is over. Its that simple .
Social distancing is a life saver for these vulnerable people and a major factor in breaking that isolation is the need to replenish food and essential daily consumable items. To most of society there is little risk, but to those who have underling health conditions and the elderly it could be a life and death situation .Its a simple measure that could save lives and reduce the stress associated with exposing themselves to infection.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
