Enforce work at home for office non business critical staff during the pandemic
Rejected
15 signatures
What the petition asks
Escalate measures forcing companies to enable staff to work from home during the pandemic, that are not in business critical functions.
Many businesses are not implementing work from home on the basis the government have not set out clear direction. In many examples this is the only reason and not because it isn’t practical to do so. If the government issue guidance that all staff where possible are home based this will be implemented quickly, lowering the spread of the disease.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Since you started your petition the Government has announced that people should only travel to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home.
