What the petition asks

The Coronavirus Pandemic is probably one of the biggest public health Crises that the UK has faced for Generations, and is spreading like wildfire across Europe.
This Government should, in response, close our Borders to new arrivals from Europe and countries most affected, to help slow the spread.

Countries like Russia and Singapore, who closed their Borders to new arrivals as soon as the outbreak started, have managed to stop (or at least rapidly slow down) the spread of Covid-19 in their Countries.
Meanwhile other countries like the US, Denmark, Mexico, and several others, are following suite.
The evidence is clear then that Tight Border Controls, and the screenings of New Arrivals, are the way forward if we want to prevent a catastrophe in this Country.
Time is short, we must act now!

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Close down all UK airports & seaports to prevent further spreading of Covid-19.
