What the petition asks

Government to freeze all mortgage and rent payments for at least 2 months. All UK businesses other than necessary to close for at least 14 days in order to help prevent spread of coronavirus

In order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and in turn, thousands of people from becoming ill and potentially dying.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
