What the petition asks

For the Uk government to provide economic assistance to staff employed in hotels and restaurants. The possibility of benefits, reduced salary or provisional work placement in other fields.

As the COVID-19 has been declared pandemic by the WHO, bringing many countries to opt for a national lockdown which involves stop travelling, many hotels and restaurants are fighting to stay open. The tourism and hospitality field is indeed the field most impacted, leaving 4.49million people (1 in 10 people) in fear, as the request for those services reduce day by day and also, in case of lockdown and forced quarantine, unfortunately this sector does not have an option of “work from home”. We are people who are missing vital paycheques.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
