What the petition asks
The Government must urgently consider using whatever powers it has at its disposal, to explore the swift and safe building of temporary hospitals, for the NHS to provide enough beds to cover the extra demand there will be during the peak crisis of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Data from NHS England shows we are already frequently operating at around 80% capacity of our entire Critical Care bed capacity: https://www.england.nhs.uk/…/critical-care-bed-capacity-an…/.
The lives of hundreds of thousands of our nearest and dearest relatives are in the hands of this Government, and they must do more to protect them.
