Funding to fast track recruitment of newly qualified Physician Associates

What the petition asks
On 12th March a new cohort of Physician Associates became qualified. Many of these have yet to secure NHS employment due to trusts simply not having the funding available at present. Please commit to emergency funding to fast track the recruitment of these useful healthcare professionals.
Given the current circumstances every trained healthcare professional is vital.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government has announced extra NHS funding in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Decisions on how this funding is spent, including recruitment decisions, is a matter for individual trusts.
