Financial support for the UK film industry employees, freelancers, contractors

What the petition asks
As millions of people self isolate and will take comfort in TV and films via streaming or broadcast; the people who created this content are now jobless, facing a lack of income and have no support financially while hundreds of contracts and productions are postponed or cancelled.
We ask the UK government for advice and support for freelancers, contractors and small production or post production companies, to help prevent them going out of business and to help cover basic costs of rent/food and day to day living.
The UK film industry and advertising industry brings in substantial revenue into the UK and we feel that this needs to be protected moving forward.
