Consider SEN students as vulnerable to coronavirus. Close All SEN schools

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Consider staff and vulnerable children in schools, close schools for a period of time to protect and prevent spread for the most vulnerable.
I am a staff member at a SEN school who works with autistic (high and low functioning) and profound multiple learning difficulties. A lot of the children use their mouths as a form of sensory exploration/ processing. This could cause mass spread of the virus. We are concerned for the families of both pupils and staff.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since you started your petition the Government has announced the closure of schools and colleges: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/schools-colleges-and-early-years-settings-to-close
