Petition · past parliament

Government should requisition private hospitals during the coronavirus crisis.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We will require a huge amount of resources when the coronavirus outbreak reaches its peak. It is unlikely that current bed numbers or resources will be sufficient. These resources should be requisitioned from private health care sources to provide equal access to medical treatment for all.
The government should not use public money to do this except to pay potential additional staffing costs or material costs.
