Pause/cap bills. Statutory sick pay should be a living wage during the pandemic
Rejected

What the petition asks
The statutory sick pay is not enough for many people to afford to live during Covid-19. Landlords, Lettings agents, utilities, council tax, lenders and debt payments for those on sick pay should be paused or capped. The aim is for people to not lose their homes or more while they cannot work.
“Tell us more about why you want the Government or Parliament to do it” because the majority of these businesses are not going to do it out of the goodness of their hearts, unfortunately.
This also applies to those receiving a reduced wage due to the pandemic.
