Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Pressure Insurers to retrospectively include Covid-19 as a Notifiable Disease for policy holders.
Treat business fairly. Assess claims arising from ‘Business interruption’, caused by Covid-19, and where deemed to be affected by this Notifiable Disease, offer support and financial assistance, Which is the obligation of an Insurer.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The decision to pay out under a policy is one for individual insurance companies, not the UK Government or Parliament. If you are unhappy with the decision of your insurer you should complain directly to them. If you are unsatisfied with how an insurer responds to your complaint you may wish to contact the financial ombudsman: https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/businesses/complaints-deal/insurance
