What the petition asks
We, the undersigned, believe that the government should and must cut all subsidies to animal farming and ban the sale, export and consumption of animal products including but not limited to: flesh, eggs, dairy, honey, leather, wool, fur, down.
The animal agriculture industry causes horrific damage to the environment, humans & non-human animals and to public health. The farming and consumption of animal products has been linked to health crises including vCJD, avian flu and antimicrobial resistance.
It is one of the biggest sources of GHGs and environmental destruction.
Animals live in brutal conditions in UK factory farms and die in pain & fear years before their natural life expectancy.
