What the petition asks
To introduce a 'one off' bank holiday after COVID-19 pandemic. To allow certain streets to close (through application to the local council) to have street parties or community gatherings or even longer pub opening hours to bring everyone closer together after long periods of social distancing.
To help boost morale of a country that has gone through so much in the past year with Brexit uncertainty and the outbreak of covid-19. This is a chance to give something back to the wonderful people Great Britain and something for everyone to look forward to as well as to show that the government acknowledges the grit of the British people and a chance for everyone to show great community spirit.
