If all public gatherings are not advised, What about supermarkets?

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

To help reduce customers in stores if it’s not right for mass gatherings then why are stores allowed to be packed out? & staff become overworked & more at risk?
Because nothing has been said about supermarkets as much, even though it’s a high risk place because everyone is panic buying!

Staff are overworked.

Staff are more at high risk.

We don’t get a chance to clean as much as we use to.

Their is close contact when working self service & scan as you shop.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand that you are concerned about the risks of supermarkets remaining open during the coronavirus outbreak, but it's not clear if you want the Government to require supermarkets to close, or to take some other action to reduce the risks to customers and staff.

You could start a new petition stating more clearly what you want the Government to do.
