Ask shops to set aside stock & times for NHS staff and those in high risk groups

What the petition asks
The government could request that supermarkets reserve essential items for NHS workers and introduce dedicated shopping times for people in at risk groups, eg early morning when the store has been cleaned and restocked overnight.
NHS workers are saving our lives. The least we can do is make sure their frontline workers have what they need to get through the crisis. They don’t need to be working 12 hour shifts then desperately looking for food and other essentials.
Some shops have already imposed restrictions to allow older shoppers in before others. They can do their shopping just after a shop clean and minimise the risk to themselves.

Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since you started this petition supermarkets have opted to provide this service.
