Remove student nurses from clinical practice during the Coronavirus crisis.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Student nurses are not paid and do not have sufficient training or protective equipment in clinical practice. They do not have their supernumerary status upheld and they are now expected to work in Covid-19 effected areas risking personal health.
Other medical and health allied professionals have been removed from clinical placements across the country. This leaves student nurses on their own amongst health allied students and the treatment is unfair and unequal to colleagues in other fields of practice.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Student placements are a matter for the educational institutions the student is enrolled in, the organisation sponsoring the placement, and the regulatory bodies that are responsible for the qualifications, not the Government or Parliament.

If you have concerns about continuing with a placement you should raise these with the educational institution you are enrolled in, the organisation sponsoring your placement, and the relevant regulatory body.
