Universities reimburse students’ tuition and accommodation fees during COVID-19
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
Universities should reimburse their students tuition and accommodation fees as they are closing due to COVID-19. Some students also pay for university gym memberships and society memberships which should also be reimbursed.
Students already face a struggle with paying fees and debt, so it is unfair to make them pay huge amounts for something they are not using. Lectures have been cancelled, halls have been closed and gyms have been closed due to COVID-19. Students should not be expected to pay for these facilities that they are not using and therefore should be reimbursed for the amount that they have already paid, and not have to pay for the next semester.
