What the petition asks
THOUSANDS of pupils could be awarded their predicted grades as their exams are cancelled.
POSTPONE the exams and make pupils actually take the exams before awarding them grades. PREVENT students from being awarded grades they NEVER achieved(predictions).This ensures fairness and equal opportunity!
POSTPONE the exams and make pupils actually take the exams before awarding them grades. PREVENT students from being awarded grades they NEVER achieved(predictions).This ensures fairness and equal opportunity!
With thousands facing the prospect of being awarded grades they never achieved, it would be simply be unfair. Predictions are not achieved results and teachers differ in judgement for what a student may achieve. It would be unfair on students who got poor predictions and did not receive the chance to improve in the real exams. It would be unfair on every other student in other years as well as adults who had to achieve their grades not be awarded based off of inaccurate and unequal judgement.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
