Expedite UC claims & scrap the 5 wk wait for those affected by COVID-19

What the petition asks
We ask the Government to expedite Universal Credit claims and dispense with the 5 week wait for those affected by COVID-19.
We are in a state of National emergency. People have already lost their jobs or had their hours cut as a direct result of the virus outbreak.
These measures would give a lifeline to the most vulnerable in our society, who otherwise face having to make choices between the most fundamental expenses such as utilities or food.
