What the petition asks
Year 11s of 2020 to still have prom
The year 11s of this year have had everything taken away from them, our last months of school crammed into two days, no leaver hoodies, shirt signing, last day, exams or results day. After 12 years of preparation for this time in our life, to have spent all that time now working for nothing is heartbreaking and we have now no final goodbye to our childhood education as we further into adult hood.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
It is the responsibility of individual schools to make arrangements for proms and other events, not the UK Government or Parliament.
