Close all pubs/bars etc. and similar public locations

What the petition asks
Now the government has issued a statement that schools across the UK will be closing in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19, the logical next step is to enforce closure of pubs/bars.
Advising the public to not go to such locations is not enough. As someone working in this industry, I have seen the lack of concern from the public. Workers are being put at risk by public disregard, and as such government action should take place. Business owners are also unable to claim against insurance policies to support their full closure unless adequate action is taken by government.
We need to protect our businesses and the public safety by shutting pubs/bars etc. officially.

Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since this petition was created, the Government has announced that pubs and bars are to close. It has also asked everyone to stay at home. You can find out more here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
