Estate agents to qualify for Business Rates Holiday and Grants

What the petition asks

we want the Government to give us the same rates holiday as they have for leisure and food businesses. Also grants for retaining staff to pay for landlords rent for our premises as our business income comes directly from commissions.

Due to COVID-19 estate agents and letting agents business has fallen, no new sales or letting, current sales and lettings fallen through. Tenants not moving, rents being delayed or not paid will causes a direct issue to agents keeping open for business.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
