HMRC money on account self-employed childcare

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

My wife is a community pharmacist working in a very busy GP surgery (a key worker) and I am a self-employed mortgage broker. It looks like I will be expected by the government to stop everything and look after our children (6 and 8).
The government should return to me immediately, through my Self-Employed HMRC tax account account the money I have paid 'on account' - future tax. There are many legitimate self-employed workers who pay tax and pay tax on account and who now will have to stop work and provide childcare to key working partners.
