What the petition asks

The British people are in a state of war with coronavirus. We ask the UK government to declare a temporary state of emergency and grant the following powers;
— Forcefully Implement mandatory regulation of;

b) All social media platforms
c) Rationing of food and resources
The British people have failed to act appropriately during a critical time. The British media have allowed for the instigation of panic among the public and misinformation is widespread. Furthermore, unregulated Social media has allowed for the spread of fake news, causing extensive fear and panic.
