What the petition asks

Given the success of Korea in containing the spread and mortality rate of Covid-19 with mass tests and tracing, it would be in the interest of every country to pursue a similar approach. Otherwise countries risk overburdening their populations and health systems, as we have seen in Italy

If every test costs GBP 100 then a country of 60 million would need to spend GBP 6 billion on one test for all. This is a fraction of what any government is currently spending on fiscal supporting measures. A successful testing and tracing programme should cut the recovery time for all economies, lower the psychological stress on the population and most importantly reduce mortality rates. As of 19 March, WHO data show Korea with 84 deaths from Covid-19, Italy with 2,978 and the UK with 103

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
