Create a voluntary bonus pot for NHS (and other?) staff helping fight COVID-19

What the petition asks
Create a bonus pot for each category of key worker involved in the fight against COVID-19 that the public can volunteer to contribute towards, e.g. 1) NHS, 2) Social Care, etc.
On a daily basis calculate: Pot size / number of key workers = £x estimated bonus they'll receive from current pot size

The front line staff are already going through a very tough time and it is going to get worse. They are risking their own lives to protect others and need to know how much we care and appreciate them. The bonus should be a flat rate, not a % of salary as those on the lower rungs of the salary pay scale are those giving the most.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
