Require all organisations in the UK to postpone any layoff plans
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Require all organisations in the UK to cancel or postpone any layoff, redundancy, or insolvency plans during the COVID-19 outbreak. The government should support all employees at risk of redundancy during the outbreak similar to those impacted by restaurants, pubs, and theaters closure.
People impacted by these organisational processes will find it increasingly difficult to find alternative roles, travel to interviews. Additionally, as businesses are suffering from downturns or impediment to working practices, employees across the UK will find it extremely difficult to find suitable jobs to support their families.
