What the petition asks
People from all over the country are heading to cornwall to self isolate amid the corona virus, the royal cornwall hospital can not cope with this, we need to close the bridge now.
The Royal cornwall hospital can not cope as it is, they do not have enough spare beds for the people who live here let alone an influx of holiday makers, imagine what it will be like if we keep letting people from all over the country come here? we will be crushed we won't cope with the extra demand, we will loose people who live here, look at what our supermarkets are like now, they are empty, we cannot cope with an influx of holiday makers draining us even more please close the bridge.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions on the closing of local roads and bridges is the responsibility of local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
