What the petition asks
Student nurse, the future of nursing, have been hit in recent years with the removal of the bursary and the introduction of uni fees. I call on the government to scrap the final year fees for students who choose to carry out their final 6 months in placement fighting Covid19 with nurse colleagues.
Student nurses are an invaluable part of the multi disciplinary team as well as the future of nursing. Every nurse has been a student Nurse but none have been through what these students have had thrown at them; the removal of the bursary & the introduction of student fees. Now we ask that they consider spending their last 6 months of training in placement, working alongside nurses and medics, fighting the largest pandemic the world has seen in a generation while still paying student fees
