Government to pay national minimum wage to self employed during Corona crisis
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
We want the government to step in and pay national minimum wage to self employed people who have had their income stopped by the shutting down of businesses during the Corona virus outbreak.
I am a self employed person and am part of social media groups of like minded people who are scared about the impact this crisis will have on their families. SSP is not enough to pay household bills and feed a family for a week so action needs to be taken immediately
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The National Minimum Wage is an hourly rate of pay, not a minimum income.
