Issue household ration books for supermarket shopping and other essentials.

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

At present we are relying on common sense and shops to regulate their own rationing system but it isn’t working. People are still hoarding and clearing shelves. Issue ration books to each house for use when shopping in supermarkets, butchers etc to limit the quantities people can purchase.
I’ve decided to use common sense with my shopping and stick to my normal shop but on every occasions the last couple of weeks I haven’t been able to get hold of the things, toilet roll, soap, veg, cleaning products, paracetamol etc. This has meant more trips and more potential for exposure not to mention those at risk and vulnerable not getting the supplies they need. We need to come together as a society in these unprecedented time but it isn’t working, issue rations books to each household.
