What the petition asks

At present most NHS staff members have to park distances away from Hospitals/places of work. And pay for that. During the COVID 19 crisis visitors are staying away and parking is plentiful. Of course this will mean a loss of income to Trusts. But it shows appreciation and care.

This will reduce pressure on staff to use public transport and reduce possible exposure. In many cases it cut travelling time significantly and help tired people to know they don't have to struggle with parking.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
