Mandate that universities should cancel student accommodation fees this summer
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
All universities have now closed down until September 2020 for everything other than online lectures and online exams. Students are returning home to be with their families, yet are having to pay for accommodation, and summer jobs are unlikely this year
Students are getting further into debt and having their degree/courses disrupted despite paying £9k a year tuition fees.
This is an appeal to the Government and Parliament to require all UK universities to allow students not to pay their summer term rent bills for university owned accommodation
