What the petition asks
Stress levels across the country are rapidly rising due to C-19, triggering mental health decline for many people in our communities. NHS & charity sector services were already stretched, with more funding needed urgently to prevent further escalation of the mental health impact of the pandemic.
With a direct link between physical & mental health, including poor MH negatively impacting immune systems; stress, anxiety & loneliness need to be managed effectively to support good long & short term health. This will help people function well during the crisis, & recover quickly afterwards.
Phone & virtually delivered services, eg workshops to help people build mental & emotional resilience, manage stress & anxiety, & counselling need to be offered now at significant scale across the UK.
