What the petition asks
While we are being encouraged not to use public transport there is still alot of us who are being asked to go into work. We can't say no in fear of being first to go when cuts are being made. By allowing people to park in London without paying this means less people on the trains.
I am scared to see my own family as I am being asked to go on the trains at the time. If the government won't give us full lock down we need support to make this as quick as possible.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Parking restrictions and charges are a matter for local councils, not the UK Government or Parliament. Since you started this petition, some councils have introduced exemptions for some essential workers. You should check your local council website for more information.
