What the petition asks
Self-employed are forced to go to work during coronavirus crisis,leave the house,risk their life and their family life,and population, otherwise they aren't able to feed their family and pay bills, especially if that's the only income for the family.Therefore they are higher risk to get coronavirus.
To protect self-employed and their families, to be able to stay at home and be able to feed their families and pay bills without risking anyone's life.
To protect the population of UK. The more people to stay home the more we can help these virus crisis.
To help families, whose income is coming from self-employment, with providing 80% of the monthly income covering wages up to £2500 a month.
To treat self-employed the same way as employed, they pay tax as anybody else.

Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
