What the petition asks
Being a student many of us work in pubs and restaurants the things that have been closed, many on 0 hours or 4 hour contracts (I average 16-20).I’ve been informed I will only be paid 4 hours a week while closed. Therefore I am asking the government while we are shut to open universal credit up to us.
It could be universal credit or some form of help during this crisis but us students need some sort of financial help like everyone else. I have food to buy and my student finance doesn’t cover the rent which is due in a month. So I want government and Parliament to protect us durning this crisis as some of us will go through financial hardship if we get no help.
Why it was rejected
