Petition · past parliament

To pay student nurses whom are on placement during the Pandemic.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

To enforce wages for the students currently on placement during the Pandemic of COVID19.

Student Nurses are essential part of the team when it comes to providing care needs to patients, and during this Pandemic as much help is needed as possible.
Student nurses want to help. They're putting themselves and their families at risk in order to help. The least that could be done is they get paid for their hard work and committment.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Student placements are a matter for the educational institutions the student is enrolled in, the organisation sponsoring the placement, and the regulatory bodies that are responsible for the qualifications, not the Government or Parliament.

If you have concerns about continuing with a placement you should raise these with the educational institution you are enrolled in, the organisation sponsoring your placement, and the relevant regulatory body.
