Discuss Seasonal Workers rights to monetary benefits during the COVID-19 crisis
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Discuss seasonal workers with upcoming or existing contracts which have been terminated or postponed rights to claiming temporary financial support in the UK. For example, overseas reps, uk holiday reps and entertainers.
Some new and existing employees have been handed out contracts for seasonal work starting from March or April which have had to be postponed or terminated until further notice. Given the situation, opportunities for temporary employment during COVID-19 lockdown are potentially unavailable for the majority of season workers and other workers. If holiday suppliers and entertainment cooperation staff are helped by the government, future survival of hospitality is perhaps more likely.
