Cancel Congestion Charges and Issue Key/Essential Workers Free Parking Permits

What the petition asks
Increase efforts to get essential workers to travel to and from work safely. Cancel congestion charges. Issue all key and essential workers with free parking permits by application in London to encourage travelling by car and reduce the amount of people using overcrowded TFL services.
The nation has seen the pictures of the crowded London Underground, even after the PM's announcement of the lockdown. We know that more needs to be done for our key workers to be safe, and for this lockdown to be effective.
Continuing as we are now will maintain the risk of the Covid-19 virus spreading; only now those at risk are mostly the key and essential workers we need most to get us through this pandemic. We need to keep them safe and use exceptional measures during exceptional times.

Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
Fund free Travel, Parking, Hotel & Childcare during COVID-19 for NHS staff
You could raise this issue with the London Assembly who are responsible for the congestion charge.
