Allow lecturers to award degrees based on students' performance so far.

What the petition asks
Do not require final year students to continue to complete and submit work in these stressful and exceptional circumstances. Teachers are grading school and college students, therefore let their lecturers decide university students' final grades.
Final year university students are struggling emotionally and mentally due to the rapidly changing situation cause by Covid 19. Remove the stress of trying to meet deadlines and continue producing quality work in the current situation. The world has changed totally and they are worried for their health, their friends and family and the future. They should not be discriminated against. Give them the certainty that 16 and 18 year olds have in this fast changing, evolving situation.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about university teaching, assessments and exams are a matter for individual universities, and decisions about university admissions are a matter for individual universities and UCAS, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you have concerns about admissions you should raise these with UCAS, and if you have concerns about your university's arrangements for teaching and assessment you should raise these with your university or the Office for Students, which regulates the higher education sector.
