Allow universities to give predicted grades for assignments due to COVID-19.

What the petition asks

Allow universities to give predicted grades for assignments that are due at the end of this semester due to COVID-19 not allowing us to go to university. This is due to us not being able to be taught all the syllabus and not having one on one contact and support with lecturers and personal tutors.
It would be the best option due to COVID-19, we have not been able to go to university to have personal contact and be taught our full syllabus or have one on one contact with our tutors or lecturers for assignments. Furthermore, with the new announcement of stricter rules for a lockdown, all of the university campus’ are now shut down (particularly libraries) therefore students with no laptop at home or internet access have no way to complete their assignments regardless of if work is given.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about university teaching, assessments and exams are a matter for individual universities, and decisions about university admissions are a matter for individual universities and UCAS, not the UK Government or Parliament.

If you have concerns about admissions you should raise these with UCAS, and if you have concerns about your university's arrangements for teaching and assessment you should raise these with your university or the Office for Students, which regulates the higher education sector.
