Interest rates on student loans need to stop whilst coronavirus is occuring
Rejected
10 signatures
What the petition asks
To stop the interest rates that are occuring on loads while the coronavirus is effecting all previous students. Many are not at work right now. It is not ethical or justifiable to continue adding money to the loan each month.
The interest rates will continue to add money to the loans that need to paid back. Those that are paying back the loan will have to watch hundreds of pounds being added whilst they are not working. I have spoken to student finance England and they can not do anything about this, they can only follow what the government states. Thus the government should stop the interest rates right now as this will effect all previous students.
Why it was rejected
