Cancel Accommodation fees for Private Hall University students due to COVID19

What the petition asks
Cancel the third instalment of rent for students who have moved out of private halls accommodation and have gone back home early, as a result of COVID-19 and Lockdown.
Students in private halls are being trapped in their contacts with the private halls companies and being told they’re still expected to pay the third rent instalment. University owned halls are letting their residents out of the payment, as long as they have moved out before April 10th. So why are private halls not doing the same?
These students didn’t ask for a global pandemic, forcing many of them to go home. Yet they’re still being told they have to pay for accommodation they’re not using.
