What the petition asks
Raise minimum wage for workers working through this crisis. As with jobs of the past wages should increase with risk involved.
For some workers they don't want to take the risk and for others they have no choice.
Make the work they are doing work for them.

Many people working during this time are on minimum wage or not much more.
Many companies refuse to close for this crisis and they should be penalised in a way that the workers get a direct benefit.
Many of these people working work long hours and could have to work many more as staff become ill.
These workers may become ill themselves and won't afford to survive
Having to pay staff more during this crisis may force them to close to cut costs which will save more lives.

Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
The Government is not responsible for setting the salary of most key workers, or setting minimum wages for particular sectors, but you may wish to sign petitions calling for the following actions:
