What the petition asks

Bar any use of public funds to assist businesses that are known to be dodging or avoiding tax. If public funds are truly needed by these organisations to survive, take them into public ownership and make sure public investment is protected against resale under market value.

At a time when small businesses and the self-employed who have paid their way in tax and contributions are struggling to survive, and thousands will be needing the benefits system to tide them through, it is indefensible that companies that refuse to pay their dues should be getting hand outs.

We need to be prioritising public services crippled by austerity in order to save lives, and not the massive profits of the rich.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
