Allow students to cancel private accommodation contracts due to COVID-19

What the petition asks
Allow students who are under fixed-term contracts with private accommodations to be able to cancel their tenancy without usual cancellation policy requirements.
I don’t think it is morally correct that private student accommodations are still demanding rent for third term, when it has been cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak and the likelihood for someone taking over the contract is very low due to university closures. Most students are going to be at home with their families and not need the room until September. I think it is exploitation of young people.
