Designate a new UK national holiday as ‘NHS Day’ to give thanks for our NHS.

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Pass a law to designate a new NHS Day national holiday. The first of which would come into affect following the downgrading of pandemic status.
As a national, cross-party recognition for the efforts of our amazing NHS. To show unity in the face of the pandemic and its lasting economic and social effects to come. To provide a focus to remember all that have died from the disease, but in a positive manner.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Create a new Bank Holiday in recognition of the NHS and all its amazing workers.
